Chandigarh International Airport

Chandigarh International Airport (IATA: IXC, ICAO: VICG) located in Mohali, Punjab serves the city of Chandigarh, states of Punjab, Haryana and Himachal Pradesh. The Airport's new terminal building for both domestic and international flights was inaugurated on 11 September 2015, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. The airport runway is located in the Union territory of Chandigarh while the new terminal is located in Jheurheri village at SAS Nagar district of Punjab. There are approximately 28 takeoffs and landings per day with flights to Delhi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Srinagar.

Punjab & Haryana each have 24.5% stake and the Airports Authority of India holds the rest of 51% stake in the new terminal building:-

Chandigarh Largest Mall Elante - Elante Mall

Elante Mall is a shopping mall in the city of Chandigarh in India. With the gross leasable area of 1,150,000 sq ft, it is the second largest shopping mall in Northern India and the fourth largest in India. Elante is spread over 20 acres of area. It is part of a mixed use real estate development project by Larsen & Toubro called Elante.

Elante Mall has a retail space of over 1 million square feet. It has 2 basement levels, a ground level and three upper levels. In the retail area, Elante Mall hosts various Indian and international brands like Big Bazaar, Westside, Pantaloons, Lifestyle, Shoppers Stop, Hackett London, Zara, Marks & Spencer, Brooks Brothers, Rolex, Guess, Calvin Klein, Superdry, Tommy Hilfiger, Harley Davidson, Jack & Jones, Aldo, Mango, Steve Madden and Gucci among others. Elante boasts of a great food court, a wonderful courtyard full of cafes, sports bars and has various clothing brands. The Mall has an 8-screen Multiplex of PVR Cinemas. On its top floor, the mall has restaurants and fast food joints, including the ones by KFC, Chili's, Nando's, McDonald's, Burger King, Dunkin Donuts, Bikanervala, Subway and Domino's among others. In September 2015, Mumbai's Carnival Group bought Elante Mall, at a price of Rs 1,785 crore(more than US$ 274 million) making it one of the biggest deal for a single real estate or property in India.
